Karen is drawn to the gorgeous coffee table books the store carries. This book about Jacques Helleu’s work as artistic director for Chanel is filled with images from his inspired ad campaigns, editorial shoots and over 4 decades worth of visual inspiration. Noted for establishing Chanel as a leading global brand associated with exclusivity and the utmost luxury, these pages share a glimpse in to the mind of the revered tastemaker.
Karen’s next pick is MM – Personal, a book created to share a rare glimpse of Marilyn Monroe’s personal life. Much has been written about this superstar, but this books shares personal letters, telegrams, receipts and other mementos kept by her business manager over the years. The items are beautifully photographed and styled and gives Marilyn fans a deeper understanding of who the real Marilyn really was. And the cover is perfection. I’m a sucker for that pop of leopard print.
There is no doubt that Vogue – The Covers would be a perfect gift for the fashion lover in you life, but it is so much more than just a collection fashion images. This book shares Vogue covers spanning more than 120 years. They not only reflected but changed the world of style. More than 300 of the most revered covers are included and each one includes historical notes and behind the scenes secrets on how they were made. It is a gorgeous book filled with a who’s who of influential artists, actors and models and would be a lovely addition to any table in your home.
Tara loves these hand creams and bath items by Lollia. The packaging on these candles and bath creams is beautiful. And look how cute they pair with a small picture frame or mercury glass votive holder. If only I could get my bathroom to look this put together. Maybe it will in a few years when I can get my sons to stop wiping dirt on my decorative hand towels…
The shea butter lotions come is adorable tubes and are boxed up in gorgeous prints and florals making the packaging just as lovely as the item inside. The littlest version makes a perfect stocking stuffer!
Who wouldn’t love to recieve one of these as a gift?! And the bath salt, nestled in little fabric pouches, become the perfect accessory to put on your vanity. You really should come in and smell these in person. YUM! The Lavender and Honey just might be my favorite!
These animal figurines caught my eye with their modern silhouettes. Children one and younger won’t remember what you give them anyway so why not gift them beautiful nursery decor?! (I kid! Sort of…) The store does carry small toy items for them to play with but will also help style the room. A win for everyone!
