Kismet PR Class for Bloggers held at E Madison
Learning in a Gorgeous Environment
Right before Christmas, I hosted a PR class for some local bloggers and small business owners at the E Madison store. The class was aimed at helping these ladies better handle their own PR and taught ways to develop relationships with brands and also pitch collaboration ideas. I teamed up with Lyndsey of Kismet PR, who taught the class, and welcomed 15 students into the E Madison store. Holding the class at the store was an absolute dream. The staff was friendly and accommodating and they even provided a plasma screen for the presentation. It felt like we were in someone’s home and was such a great location for a class. They even provided an amazing raffle prize that one lucky lady went home with. I can’t wait to hold more events there!
The bloggers were treated to absolutely delicious food from Kristin of Meringue Bake Shop. Because the class was set to start right at dinner time, she make a bread salad that she served in individual cups, goat cheese crostini, a smoked salmon dip which she followed up with sweet treats like mini pies and glitter cookies (heavenly!). To round out the spread, SunChips provided snacks and Izze supplied sodas. Kristin made sure all the guests were taken care of and provided salted caramel coffee as the class went on. The table was gorgeously styled by Lauren of A Fabulous Fete. I love how it turned out.
All of the participants learned information to help them begin working with brands and I look forward to watching each of these ladies grow! We sent them on their way with goodie bags including lotion from JR Watkins and t-shirts from ShopModerne.com. I’ve heard talk of some fun events coming up at the store including more classes and also events for shoppers! I’ll keep you posted when I get more details!
